brettd, sorry to burst your bubble, but you can screw with the results a Dyno gives you. Why do you think that every manufacturer claims a hp increase, and many offer Dyno plots showing the gain? It is not all that difficult to alter the results of a pull to give results more along the lines you want.

It's all good. Peace.

Grease, loctite, silicon, oil, anti freeze. If it gets too bad I have to use Plasti-guage just to "floss it out!" I've turned a few wrenches...Greg, Check out my post "Wow look what I started!" Peace to you as well.

I understand. I think they were as frustrated as you and tired of getting beat up. I think the technology just wasn't there to do what they are doing now. Hopefully it turns for the better. OOOPS...gotta go, gotta toddler wailing!

Well I just got back from Phoenix and got a chance to read all this. I'm really glad to hear that there are some new things coming to help out. I'll be there next Thursday and hopefully my car will feel like a new one.
Since this is a public forum, i'd like to take this moment to give my opinions so far.
1) Jackson Racing (Oscar and Shawn) do appear to making a very concerted effort to help us out and corect this documented problem.
2) For all other kits the BTC is not necessary, but for the ITR the BTC is necessary and should be included in the kit.
3) We are living in exciting times and things are changing rapidly. New technology is emerging which is allowing us to tune and upgrade our cars like we never believed possible. I admit that i've come close to giving up, but if what I am hearing is true then there is still hope and maybe, just maybe the end result will be well worth the trials and tribulations I've gone through to get there.
4) I think some things have been said in haste that in retrospect should have been kept quiet, but hindsight is 20/20. Had we all not found each other on these message boards then we may have never realized we all had the same problem, and by all sharing information and experiences, both good and bad we can both learn and grow and share this knowledge with others and make a difference.
I do not claim to be an expert, but I have done my research, and have become fairly well informed.

I know I'm new to the board, BUT....
Well said.

This is my first post on the forced induction board. I crossed over to the dark side 18 months ago and this site rocks. I was glad to see Shawn,A.K.A. Mr.Detail ,responding to problems with JR installations, recently. I know a lot of us like to bag on JR for various reasons, but I've always found Shawn to be helpful when I've called JR with problems in the past. And having Shawn on this site might help JR to be aware of some of the problems we have, especially with the Type R install. Anyhow, thats my 2 cents worth.

Does anyone know how we can fix the top end of our type R's without a fuel controller or ect,,,,,
Lets say maybe a different resistor for the JR relay.. I heard someone had it done, and it helped tremendously, for only a few bucks, without tripping codes..
If its the ecu thats dumping to much fuel in the engine, then There has to be a cheap way to fix it than, spending shitloads of money, on stuff that not really necessary on a stock R with JRSC.. But I'm not sure though.
What i'm saying is, i rather fix this problem myself than getting the run around from engineered.net here in atlanta, or anyone else for that matter.. or spending 300$ on a fuel controller, that i really don't need right now, especially to fix a top end problem that has to due mainly to JR Fuel Enrichment Relay, and our Factory ECU's......
Anyhelp appreciated.......
I also, talked to a few people about my timeslips, and why the MPH was so LOW, its either 1. the richness at the topend making me loose power, or 2. Stock exhaust holding me back...
I'm good till after the 1/8mile, after that it just runs shitty.... anyone with high 13's timeslips, use yours to break these down.
RT: .456 RT: .28
60ft: 2.3 60FT: 2.3
1/8 9.5 1/8 9.6
1/8MPH 75.55 1/8MPH 77.7
1/4 14.6 1/4 14.7
MPH 93.6 MPH 94.5
Now I was running about the same MPH STOCK that i'm doing now SUPERCHARGED...
I know high 13's are there, but or atleast 14flats, but something just isn't right with those 1/4MPH vs 1/8MPH,
Please HELP us WITH OUR JRSC R's,, AMEN LORD http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif
